Skate the Lake this January Weekend
For a fun, outdoors, family event you have to head to Portland this weekend for the seventh International Big Rideau Lake Speed Skating Marathon – Jan. 29, 2011. After taking one year off they are super excited to once again organize one of North America’s premier natural ice speed skating events.
There will be two 5K races (one for kids only and one competitive), a 10K race, a 5X1K team relay (and YES, prizes will be awarded for best dressed team) and a 25K race.
