On August 24th, the RIDEAU LAKES HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY presents its Annual Garden Show at the Elgin Municipal Complex. The judged competition is open to all members of the Township. Show schedules will be available in May. Entries must be placed in the hall between 7:30am & 9:30am. Doors will then close for judging and will reopen to the public at 2pm for viewing and winners will be announced at 4pm.
The RIDEAU LAKES HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY presents Mike Nickerson, Executive Director of the Sustainability Project, to speak about the quality of our food and security of its supply, at the Portland Community Hall. Info – visit sites.google.com/site/rideaulakeshorticultural/home
Natural beauty will be on display on Saturday, Aug. 15 when the Rideau Lakes Horticultural Society holds its Garden Show at the Elgin Municipal Complex in Elgin. This is a judged competition; the doors will open to the public at 2 p.m.
