Celebrate how the Beatles revolutionized music and pop culture by coming out to Beatle Juice: The Beatles Undercover presented by the Westport Arts Council. The Beatles Dance will be on Saturday, June 15th from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Cove Inn in Westport, Ontario. It’s only $50 per person for the buffet and show and the proceeds will benefit the Music Westport Festival (August 17th). Make sure you plan your rockin’ outfit ahead of time, because there will be prizes for the best looking Beatle! If you have always wanted to dress up as John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, or Ringo Starr, now is your big chance! Beers from Labatt’s portfolio including imports will enthusiastically be introduced by four of our friends at Labatt and paired with another wonderful menu from Chef Joanne Edwards. This will be a boisterous night featuring a slew of Labatt reps, a fair amount of giveaways, beer quenching knowledge and delicious food pairings . . .

Sizzling sausages!

It’s still October, and that means Oktoberfest. Can you hear the sausages simmering now? You’ll be able to eat all you want at Portland United Church’s Oktoberfest meal this Friday (Oct. 16). Food will be served from 4:30 to 6:30. Proceeds will go the “Dental Issues Fund” at Country Roads Community Health Centre in Portland.

Music! Music! Music!

It will be a good old foot-stompin’ time on Friday, Aug. 7 when everyone gets together for a new-barn fundraiser in North Crosby.

The shindig, sponsored by the Westport Arts Council, will fill the North Crosby Community Hall, with live music by String Tease. There will be a silent auction, lots of good folks, and plenty of food.

Freewill donations will be gratefully accepted. Everyone (of every age) is welcome.
